I like this kind of story once in a while, genuine human drama behind games.

In case you didn't know, Disgaea 3 is only $40. I know what you mean though. Disgaea 3, Fallout 3, Valkyria Chronicles, and Persona 4. I'll most likely skip on Disgaea 3 and pick it up next year. So many games, so little time.

"I got to get the wife to agree to my PS3 in Feb 09"

Get the wife some LBP and she'll love you for it. Why wait until Feb 09 to buy a PS3 though? Since you listed COD4 and Bioshock as the games you're going to get, why not get the PS3 version instead? Free online and an updated version of Bioshock than the one you played on the PC.

Also, why miss out on the greatest game this generation has to offer (MGS4)? Uncharted and Ratchet are good as well.

I hate to break it to you but the 360 IS a cheap product.

The only thing that I've learned form Pachter is to never trust Wedbush Morgan Securities with my money.

@Gabe323

"Is it because they're not outselling the PS3 by the large margins they were last year?"

PS3 outsold 360 last year..

"I don't think anyone expected them to keep that up forever."

Try telling that to POG.

@POG:

"Blu-Ray is allowing PS3 to win this year, MSFT is do better than they were last year."

360 sales have been declining every year since launch....

@Kigmal

Late September or early November.

EDIT: Santa sackboy with elves anyone? Sony should advertise this like crazy. Spend $5M on adverts dammit.

Tekken! I hope it comes out this year. Tekken and Virtua Fighter all the way!

There is no need to plug you X360 to a fridge; everyone knows that RROD has already been fixed. Heck, there weren't even any RRODs in the first place, it's all a myth created by angry fanboys. The X360 is the best console ever.

What's even more retarted is that some people actually believe this PR BS.

Chuck Norris does not actually land his kicks, you just get blown away by the awesomeness of seeing it.

"Xbox 360 titles accounted for $129 million, or 34% share, in game sales in July. Of that, Xbox 360 generated $121 million at retail for third-party publishers, or 42% of share. (July NPD data)"

In other words, Mircrosoft Game Studios only managed $8 million at retail.

"Couple that with our exclusive partnership with Netflix and a blockbuster games library boasting more than 1,000 titles including "Lips," "You're in the Movies"...

Borrow from a friend and sell it as used.

It's the other way around actually. I've spent more money on games than on hardware.

"No matter how low the price cut, consumers arent dumb."

don't be too sure..

Taking fluctuations into account, at the end of April next year the PS3 will have a bigger installbase than the 360.

EDIT: I wouldn't be surprised if a new xbox comes out at next year's holiday season.
